i-Teams 4th edition: meet the winners!
i-Teams, the flagship programme of the Faculty of Medicine's Translational Accelerator, aims to familiarise doctoral students in the Faculties of Medicine and Science with entrepreneurship. Over the past few months, the teams have been working on the industrial valorisation of four research projects: the winner, Kinestep, is a device composed of ultra-thin and flexible soles for pressure sensors and a smartphone application for the rehabilitation of patients at home. The other projects are :
- specially composed music to strengthen the development of brain networks in very premature babies
- insulin-producing organoids offering an innovative therapeutic solution for people suffering from severe diabetes
- a personalisation service for meals delivered at home, accompanied by a coaching platform
The jury, composed of Kamel Besseghir, former CEO of Debiopharm, Christophe Guichard, General Partner at Eclosion Ventures, and Antoine Geissbuhler, professor at the Faculty of Medicine, vice-rector of the UNGE and head of the HUG Innovation Centre, met virtually with the 25 young scientists competing for the i-Teams award.
The 5th round of i-Teams has been launched. You have until March 1st to register!
